Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Just a few days before she passes on the crown, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach received a surprise Sunday night.

It was a night of good food, good music, good crowd and all things beautiful as a food festival and special tribute show was held for Wurtzbach in Pasay city.

The highlight of the night: a surprise musical play on Wurtzbach's life and her journey to the crown.

The musical tackled her ups and downs; from her stint in show business as a teen, her three attempts at Binibining Pilipinas, and her crowning moment as Miss Universe.

After the show, a visibly touched Pia took the stage. Wurtzbach said she will have the best farewell walk as it will happen before a very supportive home crowd.

"I may not have had my first walk as Miss Universe...But at least i will have the most...Rather the best final walk in my home country."

The teary-eyed beauty queen also had some words of encouragement for those who look up to her.

"Whoever you are, whatever you believe in, whatever age you are, whatever situation you're in, if you have a dream, you hold on to that dream because you'll never know when that dream will come true," she said.

The third Filipino beauty to win Miss Universe, Wurtzbach will hand over the crown to her successor on January 30th.
