Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 5) — "Popstar Royalty" Sarah Geronimo serenaded thousands of Catholic faithful during the historic visit of Pope Francis in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old singer performed as part of the program after the Pontiff's mass at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The mass drew some 135,000 attendees, most of whom were Filipinos and Indians.

Among the songs Geronimo performed were her single "Forever's Not Enough," Michael Jackson's "Man In The Mirror," Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion's "The Prayer," Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," and Andra Day's "Rise Up," among others.

She also shared the stage with teen singer Jona Soquite, who won The Voice Teens Philippines in 2017.

Pope Francis arrived in the UAE on Monday, making him the first pontiff to visit an Arab Gulf state.

There are more than 300,000 overseas Filipino workers in the UAE as of 2017, according to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority.
