Manila (CNN Philippines Life) — December can get pretty hectic with the countless Christmas parties lined up, unforgiving traffic, and malls and tiangges brimming with crowds. This can make Christmas gift shopping a stressful ordeal. Thankfully, there are more and more online shops these days that don’t just sell what can be bought at the malls, but offer unique and interesting gifts that one might not find anywhere else.

Here is a list of a few online shops where you can easily score gifts that’ll stand out.

Tropik Beatnik

Amid all the online and pop-up shops that specialize in accessories, Tropik Beatnik stays true to their name with their bold, bright, and tropical-inspired earrings. Each piece is handmade from scratch, with the beads molded out of polymer clay. The earrings come in all shapes and sizes so there’s something for everyone, and you can even have a pair customized for a truly personalized gift.

There are a ton of local brands that sell T-shirts and tote bags, but Outlines does one thing particularly well — with simple line art, their shirts and totes portray intimate, body- and sex-positive scenes. They’re subtle enough to be cheeky yet escape tackiness at the same time. For friends who like to be just a tad naughty, these would make the perfect gift.

White totes are sold at ₱210 and black totes are ₱240. Unisex white shirts are ₱300 and black shirts are ₱320.

In recent years, we’ve seen a wave of social enterprises that employ local artisans and incorporate Filipino culture whether through their fabrics or designs. Alternative.ph is an online catalogue/e-commerce site that features high-quality Filipino made products from brands like Obrano, Anthill, Gugma Weaves, Kugon, Sip, Jacinto & Lirio, and Gouache.

They’ve also put together special “kits” that contain a combination of two to three products from these brands. The Muni-Muni kit costs ₱3,000 and contains a Jacinto & Lirio travel wallet, an Anthill Infinity scarf, and a Gouache camera strap. The Sigla + Silakbo kit (₱2,100) contains a Layunin woven laptop sleeve, an Araw-Araw planner, and a Keep On Conscious canvas foldable tote.

Ukay God & Blacklist.MNL

If you’re gifting someone who loves vintage streetwear, these are just two of the dozens of shops all over Instagram that specialize in thrifted bomber jackets, windbreakers, sweaters, and shirts. Most items at these shops are sold for under ₱1,000, so they make for practical gift ideas as well. If you (and your friends) don’t mind thrifted wares as presents, browsing through these shops might be a good alternative to scouring through hangers upon hangers of items at ukay-ukays.

Wolfe & Woman Co.

So far, Wolfe & Woman Co. only sells one item — a crossbody bag. But their product is made of premium quality vegan leather, so this might be a good gift for eco-conscious and vegan friends. The bags come in six different colors — tan, olive, black, old rose, cornflower, and beige. They’re also small and lightweight, making them great for travelers or people who don’t like carrying too much stuff around.

Raw Bites

For those who want to give their friends and family a headstart on their New Year’s resolutions to get fit and healthy, Raw Bites should be a good gift option. This Christmas, they have special gift packages that are curated for guys, gals, and the whole family, which can be delivered right at their doorsteps.
