Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The cities of Manila and Makati joined in welcoming home Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach on Monday afternoon (January 25) during her grand homecoming parade.

Wurtzbach, clad in an emerald green terno, was on board a blue and silver float reminiscent of her royal blue gown during the Miss Universe pageant.

The float, with a 10-wheeler truck as base, was decorated in glitters with the Miss Universe crown as its main design.

The festive public eagerly awaited to catch a glimpse of the queen, waving their flaglets — just like what Wurtzbach earlier requested.

At Rustan's in Makati, a Chihuahua was even dressed by its owner to resemble Wurtzbach's during the Miss Universe coronation night.

After she reaches her grand parade's last stop, which is Rustan's in Makati, Wurtzbach will alight her float and immediately transfer to the limousine that will transport her to Araneta Center in Quezon City for another parade.
