In an interview with the Davao media on Monday (December 14), Duterte maintained his accusation that Roxas's so-called Wharton degree in Economics is a myth. Duterte said this was confirmed by two congressmen who attended Wharton.

He said whatever alleged proof Roxas is showing now is all but "Recto made," referring to fake documents which can be bought in Recto.

When asked by a reporter of the slapping match, Duterte said he and Roxas could have a gun duel instead.

"Barilan na lang. Takot mamatay ang mga mayayayaman. Anong kinatatakutan ko?" said Duterte.
