Bacolod City (CNN Philippines, October 23) — President Rodrigo Duterte warned of the evils of the ISIS ideology and called on Filipinos to prepare for possible terrorist activities after the liberation of Marawi City.

"I'd like to remind the country that problems never cease to visit planet earth, it's not only the Philippines. But in the coming days with the siege that happened in Marawi, I'm not trying to scare you but let just be prepared for any eventuality," Duterte told revelers who participated in the  the 38th MassKara Festival in Bacolod City on Sunday.

"Terrorism is everywhere and no nation has escaped from the clutches of the evil of the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). It is an ideology that is dedicated to just kill human beings and destroy places, whatever and of what kind," Duterte added.

The President previously said he has received reports of terror plots from his office.

In a press conference on October 17, Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesperson Maj. Gen. Restituto Padilla said the deaths of Isnilon Hapilon and Omar Maute can trigger the remaining members of the Maute group to be more violent.

Meanwhile, Duterte said he does not care about his ratings as he is only doing his job.

"Tapos na ang rating ko. I got six million majority over the next opponent. Wala ang rating ko, yun na yung election. Wala akong pakialam sa rating ko ngayon. Either I go up or I go down, I do not really give a ****" he said.

Last week, the Duterte administration received a "very good" net satisfaction rating, even as it got only "moderate" satisfaction ratings for addressing issues like poverty, recovering Marcos wealth, solving traffic, extrajudicial killings, and inflation.
