Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 6) — "Mocha, I'll end this. You're right. This is not about Kris Aquino."

This was what the youngest daughter of former President Corazon Aquino and former Senator Ninoy Aquino said in a Facebook video addressing her recent spat with the sexy actress-turned-political appointee.

"This is a reminder that Filipinos still love and respect Cory and Ninoy Aquino," she added.

Mocha Uson, Assistant Secretary for Social Media of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) remained defiantly unapologetic about the feud she started with Kris despite an order from President Duterte to apologize so the issue is not blown out of proportion any longer.

"This is not about Kris Aquino. Tungkol ito sa paglagay ng malisya sa isang halik. Itinumbas lang sa gawain ng ibang lider tulad ng tatay niya," Uson said in a Facebook video just over an hour before Kris went online.

Less than an hour later, Uson posted on her social media page this line, "With all due respect to everyone involved, I decline to apologize for the truth."

Aquino said that she had constantly tried to reach out to Uson on the issue.

"Kahit anong gawin ko na kabutihan na ipakita ko sa iyo, kahit anong pagsubok ko na maayos natin ito, ayaw niyong ayusin e," Aquino said about Uson.

Uson had reposted an old  clip of the late Senator  Aquino Jr. being kissed by a female supporter moments before being escorted by soldiers out of a plane and assassinated in 1983.

The elder Aquino led the political opposition against strongman Ferdinand Marcos. His assassination sparked massive protests that led to a "people power" revolt that catapulted his widow, Corazon Aquino, to the presidency in 1986.

Known by their nicknames - Ninoy and Cory - are considered heroes by many Filipinos for their contributions to the return of democracy in the Philippines. Their son, Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was the country's president from 2010 to 2016, immediately before Duterte.

Uson used the video to hit back at critics of Duterte, who kissed a woman on the lips during a meeting with the Filipino community in South Korea.

The clip Uson posted showed both videos of Duterte's controversial kiss and Ninoy being kissed before his assassination. On top of the videos were the texts "Masagwa daw ito??? (video of Duterte), pero ito hindi??? (video of Ninoy), paki-explain??? ."
