Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 10) — Former First Lady Imelda Marcos attended a party with some government officials Friday – the same day the Sandiganbayan convicted her of graft.

Photos obtained by CNN Philippines showed the Marcos matriarch posing for a photo with presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio during the birthday party of her daughter, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos.

In one of the photos, the 89-year-old widow of the late President Ferdinand Marcos was shown seated in a table with Solicitor General Jose Calida, House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, who wants to run for senator in the 2019 midterm elections.

Among the guests was Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.

Earlier that day, the anti-graft court sentenced Marcos, who is Ilocos Norte Representative, to a maximum of 77 years in jail for committing seven counts of graft. An arrest warrant is expected to be issued next week, but the Sandiganbayan said she can post bail.

Marcos – known for her penchant for designer shoes and jewelry – said she would appeal her conviction.

In 1993, the Sandiganbayan also convicted the former first lady for graft in a separate case but the Supreme Court overturned the decision in 2003, saving her from a 12-year prison sentence.
