Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 24) — Heads up, motorists.

Tourists planning to go to Baguio City can soon pass by Kennon Road beginning February 14, Cordillera authorities said.

The Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) on Thursday announced it has approved the one-way reopening of Kennon Road to private motorists.

"The CRDRRMC has approved  the opening of Kennon Road to private motorists starting Feb 14 but one-way traffic only in going up to Baguio and motorists can use Marcos/Naguilian when going down from the city," according to state-run Philippine Information Agency-Cordillera said.

The road has been closed to traffic since mid-2018 due to landslides and ongoing construction in the area.
