Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 8)   —  A passenger aircraft from Manila overshot the runway Friday afternoon as it landed at the Francisco B. Reyes (formerly Busuanga) Airport in Palawan at 4:40 pm, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said.

In a statement, CAAP said all 80 passengers and six crew members of Skyjet flight M8 717 were safe and were ferried to the airport terminal.

Initial investigation said the British Aerospace BAe 461, operated by Magnum Air, encountered "runway excursion" at the end of the runway east side of the aerodrome beyond the fence.

Investigators have been dispatched to probe the incident, CAAP said.

CAAP canceled all flights to and from Busuanga (Coron) on Saturday due to the runway incident.

"The aircraft was stalled 150 meters at the end of Runway 08 and had to be removed while awaiting the arrival of the equipment that will tow the aircraft to a remote parking bay," CAAP said in a statement.
