Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 4) — A magnitude 6 earthquake hit Zamboanga del Sur Sunday afternoon.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the tremor's epicenter was 10 kilometers northwest of Pagadian City, the capital of the province.

Early reports from the agency said aftershocks were expected but no damage has been reported.
