Basketball fans couldn't stop tweeting about their glorious win as #PusongGinebra trended in the Philippines all night long.

Ginebra beat the Meralco Bolts before a record-breaking crowd Friday evening. On Twitter, the excitement was contagious, with fans thanking God for their team's victory.

One Twitter user who had changed her profile name to "Ginebra" said their win gave her a "one year supply of happiness."

Another, still reeling from the heart-stopping victory, couldn't bring herself to sleep right after the championship.

"Can't sleep. CHAMPION EH #PusongGINEBRA," she said.

Ginebra fan Cams, meanwhile said she was tired from work, but added seeing her team triumph took all her exhaustion away.

"Loved you then and I love you still, I always have and always will," fan Michelle tweeted.

There were also some who congratulated opposing team Meralco Bolts for a game well played.

"Meralco showed us their character. They didn't just roll over. They fought. Tooth and nail. That's the kind of competitor you want to be," host and former CNN Philippines Sports Desk anchor Francesca Litton said.

Twitter user Shayne congratulated Ginebra, but also said Meralco deserves credit for giving viewers a great fight.

"Let's give credit for Meralco too, especially Durham for giving us such a good game and fight. Congratulations Ginebra! #PusongGinebra," she said.

Barangay Ginebra remains the undisputed king of the Basketball Association (PBA) Governors' Cup after it outlasted the Meralco Bolts, 101-96, in Game 7 of the Governors' Cup finals at the Philippine Arena.
