Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 7) — It was sweet revenge for the Katipunan-based squad.

The Ateneo Lady Eagles made quick work of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in their second outing, 25-19, 25-21, 25-17, at the UAAP Season 80 women's volleyball on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

During the first round of eliminations, the Morayta-based squad handed Ateneo a loss after a five-set match.

Open hitters Jhoanna Maraguinot and Kat Tolentino led the Lady Eagles to victory, registering 15 and 11 markers, respectively.

Pauline Gaston, who usually comes in as the starting opposite spiker for coach Tai Bundit, played as libero in the match.

Toni Rose Basas and Celine Domingo led the Lady Tamaraws in the scoresheet, with 10 and 7 points, respectively. Team captain Bernadeth Pons was limited to five points.

The two squads are now tied at a 5-3 standing after the match.

FEU will try to bounce back in their game against University of Santo Tomas on March 15, while Ateneo will attempt to continue their win streak against National University on March 17, both at The Arena.
