Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 20) — Terrence Romeo will be on the other side of the fence when he plunges into hardcourt action against the GlobalPort Batang Pier in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner's Cup opening day.

Romeo and GlobalPort ended their five-year relationship after the Batang Pier sent the prolific scorer and Yousef Taha to TNT in exchange for Fil-Tongan Moala Tautuaa and KaTropa's 2020 first round pick and 2021 second round pick.

"I'm excited to help TNT. I'm thrilled to share my experiences and learn from the veterans," Romeo told CNN Philippines' Sports Desk in a previous interview.

The 5-foot-11 Romeo is expected to boost TNT's backcourt alongside Jayson Castro, Ryan Reyes, Alex Nuyles, RR Garcia, and Roger Pogoy.

His addition puts more pressure for the KaTropa franchise, who last won a PBA title in the 2015 Commissioner's Cup, to perform better in the import-laden conference.

Game time is scheduled at 6:45 p.m. at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum which is after the curtain raiser between the Blackwater Elite and Columbian Dyip.
