(CNN Philippines, August 14) — Filipino fighter Honorio Banario will lock horns with Singapore's Amir Khan in the lightweight division of ONE Championship.

Banario, a member of the premier mixed martial arts team based in Baguio — Team Lakay, is hoping to extend his winning streak to six and nab his 14th career victory.

On the other hand, the 23-year-old Khan is coming off a knockout win over Sung Jong Lee and hold a professional record of 10 wins and three losses.

In the co-main event, China's Xiong Jing Nan will stake her ONE women's strawweight world title on the line against Brazil's Samara Santos.

Xiong successfully defended her belt when she scored a unanimous decision over Laura Balin of Argentina last June.

Edward Kelly — another Filipino and Team Lakay warrior — will battle former world title contender Christian Lee in the featherweight bout.

ONE Championship: Beyond the Horizon is scheduled on September 8 in China.
