Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 8) — Chris Tiu is hanging up his hardcourt shoes for good.

The 33-year-old guard announced his retirement from the PBA on his Twitter account Tuesday.

The outside gunner was drafted seventh overall by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the 2012 PBA draft. He spent his entire professional career with the franchise.

Tiu was a former three-point shootout champion and was a vital cog in the Elasto Painters' title run in the 2016 Commissioner's Cup.

In his final conference in the league, he averaged 8.9 points, 2.6 assissts, and 1.9 rebounds.
